CMA Immigration and Legal Services, P.A, offers a variety of legal services, which include: Legal counsel and assistance for individuals and corporations for short and long term immigration planning, assistance to employers and individuals in acquiring proper work visas for US nonimmigrant and immigrants, legal assistance for athletes and professionals in the arts, media and entertainment fields, legal representation for immigration cases before the Executive Office for Immigration review (EOIR), individual assistance in the preparation for interviews in the US embassy of the alien’s country of nationality and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), timely applications for extensions of temporary visa holders, petitions for foreign relatives and adjustments of status, among other services.

 

Cristina Montes Amador, Esq.

Fluent in English, Spanish and French. Attorney Cristina Montes was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is admitted to practice the legal profession in Florida (2011), the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (2009) and the United States District Court for the District of Florida (2012) and Puerto Rico (2010). She is also a licensed Notary Public for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (2009) and the State of Florida (2011).

Cristina Montes graduated and obtained her Juris Doctor’s degree from the Inter-American School of Law, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico (2008). As a student, Cristina participated in a judicial clerkship program for the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico (2006) and in an advanced legal studies exchange program where she took special legal courses in the University of London (Financial Crime Law) and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Advanced Torts and Mediation). In 2005, she graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing and a Minor in French, where she also participated as a French student in an advanced cultural exchange program in Accord Ecole de Langues (School of Languages), Paris, France.

Cristina’s previous experiences as an attorney and law student include her work for Edge Legal Strategies, P.S.C. (Corporate, Federal Law, Labor & Employment and Commercial and Civil Litigation), Silva Almeyda Law Offices (Copyright and Trademark Infringement) and Martinez, Odell & Calabria (Litigation Department)(Commercial and Civil, Contract Law, Trusts and Federal Law). Cristina Montes was the Secretary of the Federal Bar Association, Student Chapter Division (2006-2008) and is currently a Member of The Florida Bar, American Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Aware of her interest in helping people from various cultural backgrounds and nationalities with the legal difficulties and challenges they face coming in to a new country, Attorney Montes decided to make the practice of Immigration Law a part of her professional career. She has attained significant experience working with Non-Immigrant O (Extraordinary Ability), L (Multinational Intra-company Transfers Managers/Executives), H1-B (Specialty Occupations), E-2 (Treaty Investors) Visa Petitions, Employment and Family based Immigrant Visa Petitions (including EB-5 Employment Creation Investors Petition), Asylum petitions, Consular processing Assistance, Naturalization, Citizenship applications and EOIR proceedings.
